Information Sent Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. San Ramon Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. Messages sent to the contact address are used to read and answer the request.
Information Collected Automatically
The hosting service may record routine technical details such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time stamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for site health and readership patterns. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools when enabled.
How the Data Is Used
Technical data supports site operation, fault repair, traffic counts, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from the limited information described here.
External Portals and Links
Pages point to county and state record systems, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. Each outside service sets its own privacy terms and controls what happens to information submitted there. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a third party.
Who Can Receive It
Hosting and support providers may process server logs while keeping the service running. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data noted above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is not shared beyond the service functions described here.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above call for them. There are no accounts on this service, so it does not hold a visitor password or user profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. If a minor has sent personal information, contact the operator so the information can be located and deleted where it is under our control.
Your California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, is codified at Civil Code §§1798.100 et seq. Depending on coverage and exceptions, it can provide rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing of covered personal information. Since this service keeps very little, a request generally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by California, Contra Costa County, or San Ramon offices are outside this operator’s control; requests about those records must go to the custodian.
Policy Changes
When this policy changes, the revised text will appear here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
